It turns out stress, pollution, dehydration, bad skincare routine, and sleep deprivation can all cause face wrinkles. While everyone, even your dentist probably is happy to offer you botox and filler, you can remove facial wrinkles without impacting your hormones, and you can do it naturally! Keep reading to get the top secrets we collected from around the world. 


With the right natural remedies, it is possible to remove face wrinkles and restore a youthful complexion—without expensive anti-aging treatments. According to research, 20% of women worry about creases and lines before they reach their mid-20s! Please enjoy your 20s….I know I did! How To Prevent and/or Reduce Facial Wrinkles Naturally

Before you look for chemicals you can inject or topically apply or pills you need to pop (all of which have side effects), try going natural for one lunar cycle. Take before/after pics so you can see the progress as we all tend to think we always looked that amazing.  

 

1.Wear a hat and SPF

There is a reason this is number one on the list as it is the most important! Please wear sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 30+ every day. Even when it's cloudy, even when it rains, even when you think you will just be indoors all day. If the sun is out in theory, then sunscreen should be on in reality! The Annals of Internal Medicine did a study that showed daily sunscreen group showed no detectable increase in skin aging after 4.5 years (in other words they wore it every day rain or shine) and Skin aging from baseline to the end of the trial was 24% less in the discretionary sunscreen group (those who wore it sometimes). 2. Use Skincare Products That are Truly Natural

Your skin is your largest organ so what you put on it matters! (read that again for emphasis) Your skincare products either have a positive or negative effect on signs of aging such as forehead wrinkles. The US skincare industry is unregulated and famous for false promises and questionable ingredients. 3. Use Face Oil to Keep Hydration

Lines and wrinkles can form more quickly on dry skin because the cells in your skin are unable to retain their normal volume. The right facial oils are packed with antioxidants and can reverse sun damage while also hydrating your skin. Good quality oils are lipophilic so they can penetrate deep into the skin, trap water and moisture in, while creating a barrier to keep toxins and pollutants out. The right face oil will fortify and strengthen our own natural skin barrier. This is especially important for big city dwellers who need extra protection against pollutants and smog, the perfect ingredient for unwanted wrinkles

However here are our plan oil substitutes for common ingredients in anti aging cream. 

 

Side note: We recommend going for an anti aging oil over an anti aging cream. Active ingredients are present at a much higher concentration in oils compared to creams because they're not diluted by all the filers including water that you need to make cream. Basically it's more potent.

Vitamin C- Present in most all beauty products there days and available in a natural form and stimulates collagen. 

Retinoids - Carrot seed oil the perfect alternative since it is loaded with beta-carotene (provitamin A). It is a super antioxidant that also protects from UV rays (Still need sunscreen, See step 1), pollution and stress. According to the international journal of cosmetic science, Bakuchiol is another amazing alternative and "can function as a functional analogue of retinol."

Peptides - Pomegranate oil can fight free radical damage because of its intense antioxidant content, promoting collagen production with the same if not better results that synthetic peptides do.

Instead we suggest Jojoba oil which mimics our natural skin sebum and is deeply hydrating. 

4. Make Facial Exercise and Massage A Weekly Ritual

We love a good lymphatic face massage for its numerous health and skin benefits. It helps to lift, firm and de-puff, minimizing forehead wrinkles. Yes, please! Gua Sha is another great massage technique that’s been around for centuries. Performing weekly facial exercises is a great way to promote a healthy glow and smooth out any wrinkles in the face

Always use a face oil first to reduce friction on the skin. 

Some Ideas to Try:

  1. Warm a little oil in your palms to warm it up and then use light upward strokes on the face and neck aka effleurage.
  2. Start at the neck, move your fingers gently upward from the collarbones toward the jaw. 
  3. Face Yoga -  A 2018 study showed that face exercises increase collagen and elastin in the skin

5. Exfoliate to remove face wrinkles

Another underrated yet great way to keep facial wrinkles at bay is through weekly exfoliation. A few drops of your custom face oil with sugar makes a great weekly exfoliator! It doesn’t have to be hard. Put one teaspoon of sugar (your choice but we like brown sugar the best) and add your face oil till it is at a consistency you like. Then rub your face and neck to remove dead skin and clean all the dirt from the skin pores. 

Sidenote: Make sure the sugar is finely ground so you don’t scratch your skin. Coffee grounds work as well. 

6. Healthy Lifestyle: Eat your Veggies, Drink Water and Reduce Stress!

You already know this but this is your reminder that no amount of skincare products can erase a bad diet. Eat your fruits and vegetables and try to stay clear of processed food (or skincare) and in case you are wondering, you can’t just pop pills to get the same nutrition. 

Drink water

Drinking enough water is one of the cheapest and most effective ways to reduce wrinkles and maintain a youthful complexion. Your body needs plenty of hydration to function well and keep skin healthy, so aim for 100 oz a day. Ok that is a lot but maybe if 100 oz is your goal, you will end up at 60 oz? This can help retain moisture in your skin cells, making them more resilient against wrinkles.

  1. Reduce Stress

This can be as easy as sitting up straight.
