Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a specific form of mantra meditation introduced in the mid-20th century by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. TM has gained immense popularity worldwide for its simplicity and the profound benefits it offers to its practitioners.
TM involves the silent repetition of a mantra for about 20 minutes twice a day. The goal is to reach a state of restful alertness where the mind is calm and silent yet fully awake. This quieting of the mind allows one to tap into deeper levels of consciousness, bringing about enhanced clarity, peace, and overall well-being.
During TM, the individual sits comfortably with their eyes closed and silently repeats their chosen mantra. As one progresses in their practice, the mantra becomes a gentle thought, leading the mind to settle down and dive into a quieter state of awareness. The practice takes the individual beyond the surface level of thought into a state of pure consciousness, which is both peaceful and invigorating.
The right mantra is essential for effective TM. Traditionally, mantras are chosen based on various factors, including age, gender, and personal goals.
While TM teachers traditionally choose mantras based on age and other factors, a comprehensive list by age group remains a closely guarded secret within the TM organization.

Before TM, creating the right ambiance can significantly enhance one's meditative experience. Essential oils, with their potent aromatic properties, have emerged as valuable allies in this quest. Among these, frankincense essential oil holds a revered position. Often referred to as the "king of essential oils," frankincense is known for its grounding properties, making it an ideal companion during TM. Its deep, resinous aroma promotes a sense of peace and helps in attaining deeper states of meditation. To further elevate the experience, blending frankincense with the calming properties of lavender and the euphoric fragrances of ylang-ylang creates a harmonious aromatic symphony. This trio not only assists in achieving a relaxed state of mind but also fosters a serene environment, making every TM session a rejuvenating sensory journey. You can find these oils in De-Stress Essential Oil and roll on your wrists and behind your ears before you begin TM.
Beeja (or seed) mantras are sound frequencies that resonate with certain energies or vibrations. They are used in TM because of their potency in aligning with specific qualities or intentions. When chanted, they produce a vibrational quality that assists in meditative focus and deepening one's practice.
Begin by finding a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and gently start repeating your chosen mantra in your mind. There's no need to vocalize it. When thoughts arise, gently bring your focus back to the mantra. Continue this for about 20 minutes, then sit silently for a minute before opening your eyes.
Transcendental Meditation and its associated mantras have been a source of peace, clarity, and rejuvenation for millions across the globe. By incorporating these mantras into your daily routine, you can embark on a transformative journey towards a healthier and more harmonious life.

Once you get your free human design chart, you will see a series of boxes on the right and left with numbers and a decimal point.
Each chart has 1 of 64 gates in your 13 planets based on the moment of your birth and about three months prior to your birth.
The planet represents a theme and the gate holds the energy that guides that theme. For example in this chart, the planet is the sun (which is how you are meant to shine on earth) and the gate number is 8. Human design gate 8 is that of contribution so it would mean that your main purpose is that of contribution. Gates and planets should be looked at together.
Then you also need to have a peak at human design lines so after the gate number is a decimal and the line. You might also see some black (exaltation) and white (detriment) triangles which signify the polarity in the line. For example a white triangle next to your gate 8 line 2 might mean contribution as long as there is recognition whereas a black triangle would mean selfless contribution. Don’t judge! Neither is bad as we all can’t be Mother Theresa so understand yourself, accept yourself and live in your design. We do not get into the exaltation or detriment or the lines of each gate here but you can read more in the book Human Design - The Science of Differentiation.
Join our 30 day human design transformation to live in your design through a custom workbook and daily SMS messages that help you train and align yourself to a life of purpose, peace and joy.

Please remember that no energy type is better or worse than another just like there is no best zodiac sign.
Understanding your energy type, strategy and signs of frustration can help you live in alignment and help you discover your soul's purpose while living in joy during the process. Many of us have spent our entire life living according to programming from our parents, friends, mentors, etc. so it will take time to un-program those habits to live according to our chart.
We recommend starting with small daily rituals that help you relax and get in better tune with yourself. If you find you don't have enough time, just 5min of self care every morning and evening will actually give you more time by focusing your energy and allowing a greater level of efficiency. We have a 30 day challenge that curates daily self care rituals based on your human design energy type that helps you use your chart to be your best self or you can create your own program using the human design information below.
HUMAN DESIGN REFLECTORS ARE THE SOULFUL SAGES OF OUR WORLD
As a human design reflector, you are born with a unique and special connection to the cosmic world around you. It wouldn’t surprise us if people make jokes about your being a psychic (or if you actually are one!). It is your role to enliven and lift up the energy of others. You can amplify and reflect other people's energy to them in a non-imposing, non-judgmental way.
You will lead the way to a global awakening of consciousness but it is important for you to find your place in the heart of your community. Even though you have all open centers you have a protective aura to help guide you and are no more susceptible to outside influences than any other person.
Your biggest fear may be not being seen or included (talk about extreme FOMO) and this can lead to non-authentic behaviors and feelings of disappointment. It is important that while you feel the energy (pain and joy) of others to stay neutral. Questions to ask yourself: “Who am I today?” or “Can I be myself?” If you feel yourself dipping into this feeling, remember to delight in everyday miracles, which you’re so good at finding.
Feeling disappointed? It may be time to switch your circles or take a look at your environment. Feeling disappointed is your tell tale sign you are out of alignment.
Your strategy is to wait and get in sync with the lunar cycle. Surprise in the everyday miracles of life is what ignites your soul so look for them constantly and appreciate them even if everyone around you thinks you're crazy for hugging the tree.
One moon cycle of living in alignment with your chart will help you to awaken your mind to what is your truth vs what is the programming. Focusing on your truth over your programming will help alleviate the resistance.

Human Design Reflector Self Care Guide
Morning – As someone who tends to take on a lot, it is important for you to ground yourself each morning by journaling and saying your affirmations as you apply your face oils.
During the day - As an open and sensitive being, it’s important to take care of yourself and not let yourself become overwhelmed by the world’s pain. It is best for you to spend as much time in nature as you can. In order to release the energy you pick up during the day, it’s important to have a dedicated space for you to unwind. Recommended Essential oil: De-Stress
Nighttime- For a human design reflector like you, it is not a good idea to go to bed completely exhausted and start to wind down an hour before so you can release energies that do not belong to you and prepare for a restful night. Make sure you get your alone time! Essential oil: Sleep because of the Sandalwood essential oils!
Smell is also the only sense connected to the limbic lobe of the brain, which controls emotions and is strongly linked to behavioral patterning so can help you reprogram your open center and strengthen your defined centers. Use oils with your self care to awaken your senses and recondition any old stories you may be telling yourself that no longer serve you.

THE MANIFESTOR HUMAN DESIGN: HOW TO THRIVE AS VIVACIOUS VISIONARIES
The Manifestor Human Design is also rare indeed as only 10% of the population identify as Manifestor. Go head, take a victory lap. But then come back, because we’ve got work to do! You have a gift for initiating action and creating impact that is long lasting. It is the main goal of the manifestor human design to find the peace to do what they want, when they want to do it, which can make them great entrepreneurs but not always great employees if not in a leadership role.
You are at ease in solitude and find peace in manifesting what you want for yourself which can sometimes not make you the best team player – you’re probably relieved you’re not stuck in school doing group projects anymore! It may feel as though there is an ever present pressure to make things happen, as this is key to fulfilling your purpose.
The manifestor human design can have a repelling aura that can sometimes be misinterpreted and make people feel defensive or protective. To improve relationships, it is important to communicate after you have made a decision but before you take action.
You may need to confront the following fears: Fear of upsetting someone, fear of confrontation, fear of control. It might feel easier to just become a hermit, but you can totally learn to not listen to these fears and grow even more in your relationships.
When you are resisting your true nature and not using your strategy, you might tend towards anger.
The manifestor human design soul desires peace, a place of no resistance. In order to do that, you must follow a strategy that works for you. In your relationships, you have to bring people along the journey with you by telling them (informing) what you are doing even if you are worried they don’t agree. It’s definitely not the end of the world if someone disagrees with you!
Smell is the only sense connected to the limbic lobe of the brain, which controls emotions and is strongly linked to behavioral patterning so it can help you reprogram your open center and strengthen your defined centers. Use oils with your self care to awaken your senses and recondition any old stories you may be telling yourself that no longer serve you.
Morning: For the manifestor like you, it’s important to begin the day with some movement, such as yoga or stretching. Even 5-10 minutes is something! Apply your face oils while saying your affirmations.
During the Day: Burst + Retreat is necessary. The manifestor human design type needs to take care not to experience burnout, which they will tend to do left to their own devices. A capitalist society will peer pressure you into working too hard for too long. Instead, honor your rhythm – retreat and rest when needed. Think of it as an act of rebellion! You may have bursts of productivity, but then you need to rest. Don’t subscribe to the “shoulds” – whatever works best for you is what’s best for you. Essential oil: Headache (Lavender and Peppermint essential oil)
Night Time: Start your wind-down routine by washing your face and then apply an oil while tapping your whole face. For you, it is best to lie down for up to one hour before going to sleep in order to discharge from the day. You can do whatever activity feels best to you (reading, television, listening to music...), though it’s probably best if you stay off of social media.
One moon cycle of living in alignment the manifestor human design chart will help you to awaken your mind to what is your truth vs what is the programming. We invite you to embark on a self-discovery process that brings self-love and joy.
MANIFESTING GENERATORS HUMAN DESIGN
Manifesting Generators are full of creativity and energy and love to work when you love what you do. You love to be engaged and will follow through step by step to the end, but if you get stuck you do need new input or instructions so you can continue to respond and thrive. You are amazing at mastering skills and need to be careful of the temptation to quit. Manifesting Generators have the benefit of efficiency as they can see steps that can be skipped but can also be impatient and skip important steps along the way. You are more likely to be impatient and aggressive compared to pure generators.
You will get there...keep at it!
All Manifesting Generators have embracing auras but have to wait to respond to the right opportunity. The frustration can come when you feel like waiting to respond feels like doing nothing. This is the opposite of their nature as the energy force of doing comes very naturally to a Manifesting Generator. Trust and patience are the name of the game. Think "The Universe has you Back" and amazing things are coming. What’s meant for you will come to you, so it’s best to shift your frustrated energy to satisfaction, knowing that you do not need to act unless it feels right. Wait for the right opportunity. It will come. You don’t have to create the opportunity, just be the energy behind it. While practicing this shift, it is important to stay clear of fear of failure, the unknown or losing control.
If you are frustrated, take a look at what you are spending your time on. Are you trying to make things happen rather than allow them to happen? For Manifesting Generators, frustration is a sign that energy is not being optimized.
Your strategy is to wait for the right opportunities and respond. If you are frustrated, you are not allowing the “waiting process” and trying to force things to happen. Your signature is satisfaction in work and relationships above all else.
Morning - As a Manifesting Generator, your energy likes to move! To start your day, get a workout or walk in to get all that energy moving. After your morning movement, it’s beneficial to massage your face with oils to waken your lymphatic system. Essential oils: Peppermint & Lavender oil (Headache Blend)
During the Day - need to move their bodies. But make sure you find a type of movement that brings you joy so that you do not resent your need to move. This could be dancing, boxing, yoga, walking, or anything else that gets your heart rate going and leaves you feeling alive. Essential oils: Cardamom and geranium
Night - Manifesting Generators have to wear themselves out every day to get a good night’s sleep. If you tend to toss and turn, you may not be getting enough physical exercise. Face yoga and more active self-care routines will be best for you. Essential oils: Lavender or Sandalwood (Sleep Essential Oil)

You are amazing at mastering skills and need to be careful of the temptation to quit on the rare occasion that something takes a little longer to master. You will get there...keep at it and remember that learning is just as much about the journey as the destination. That might sound corny, but people enjoy road trips for a reason.
All Generators have embracing auras but have to wait to respond to the right opportunity. The frustration can come when generators feel like waiting to respond feels like doing nothing. This is the opposite of their nature as the energy force of doing comes very naturally to a Generator. Night - In order to get a proper, restful night’s sleep, it’s important for Generators to expend their excess energy through movement throughout the day. Projectors human design have an openness towards life with a penetrating aura that allows you to see the big picture, recognize the gifts in others and bring people together. You are a natural networker, mediator and leader. People are very lucky to have you in their lives!
You are open to invitations which draws people in and out of your life so, like generators, you are waiting for the right opportunity. This is hard as you want to be and must be recognized in order to fulfill your soul’s design as administrator or guide. The key is to listen to your inner authority and accept the right invitations so you can direct your energy accordingly. No need to overbook your energy’s social calendar.
Projectors human design are most fulfilled by recognition and are quick to be bitter if this need is not met. But don’t be too hasty – before you decide the entire world has come together to talk behind your back slumber part style, it is important to be patient and ensure you are surrounding yourself with the right people to foster your unique gifts. Be careful you do not do things that do not feel authentic just to get the praise. Do not settle for the wrong opportunity.
Feeling bitter? Make sure you are not trying to be someone you are not. Your definition of success does not have to match anyone else's idea. If you are bitter, you are not in alignment with your energy so pay attention.
Essential oils are recognized as having the highest vibrational frequency of all things found in nature and can positively affect our own vibrational energy, our energy field and our aura, thereby helping to improve our overall energy and state of being so definitely incorporate them in your routine.
Morning: Start your morning by applying your oils and saying affirmations while doing some gentle self-massage.
During the day: Digesting things in small portions is your body and energy’s MO. This can be literal, such as with food, or more abstract, such as with information and other people’s energy. Throughout the day, make a habit of recognizing what’s not yours and letting it go.
Nightime: Since you tend to take on others’ energy during the day, it’s a good practice to lie down for 30 minutes in a room ALONE before going to sleep. This will give you ample time to fully discharge what isn’t yours and integrate what is. Choose whatever activity that feels relaxing to you (reading, television, listening to music...), though it’s probably best if you stay off social media. Essential oil: Sandlewood (Sleep)
Spend one moon cycle of living in alignment with your projector human design to awaken your mind to what is your truth vs what is the programming. Get ready to embark on a self-discovery process that brings self-love and joy.
Next you should look into what environments best allow you to thrive according to your human design chart.

Ever notice how some places make you feel comfortable and at ease and others make you want to check your phone continuously? This is different for everyone; if human beings didn’t have such distinct needs and tastes, we wouldn’t be waging a continuous war over whether pineapple is an acceptable pizza topping. The good news is, understanding your human design environment type gives you insight into how to set up your surroundings to set you up for success. The thought process is that the more comfortable you feel in your environment, the more you’ll be able to listen to your intuition, use your authority, and just feel overall amazing. Interested?
How to find your human design environment?
If you are unsure of your human design environment, you can use our free human design environment calculator aka free human design chart. Your human design environment is the last item listed on the right side of the human desing chart.
The human design ideal environment allows for your energy to flow in a way that helps you discover and serve your true purpose. You should expect to feel more energy and joy doing the same things when in a space that is energetically aligned with you and your unique needs.
What are the human design environment types?
There are six human design environment types and they have a few different identities. It can be how you orient yourself in a room, the room, and the people around you. Begin to notice how you hold yourself in a space. Where do you feel calm and energized or drained or even stressed the eff out?
There are six main different human design environments and they can mean different things to different people - it could be how you orient yourself in a space or it could mean the design of the space. Experiment with different aspects of your environment and check in with your energy flow. Are you more productive? Do you feel more at ease?
I used to sit by the window in my office because it was the best spot available; however, one day I was working in the office near the back and realized I liked having a wall behind me (my human design environment is caves) and was more in flow than the “best spot” so I changed offices. I still love bright colors in my office so don’t take your environment name too literally. Just see if it is a design aspect or orientation aspect that gets you into flow.
Human Design Environment Caves tend to thrive in an environment that feels safe and secure. A space that is comfortable, cozy and protective, kind of like the room equivalent of a flannel onesie. Historically, a cave was a place to hide from the elements and dangers of the world. There is only one way in and out which provides control. A solid wall behind you might help you feel at ease. The goal here is to make a space that feels comfortable so you can recharge and access your creativity. Don’t think dark and cold, rather experiment with orienting yourself with a wall behind you or adding a more comfortable chair. Cave people have been known to linger in the bathroom on their phone to get the reprieve they need, but if you create a space that allows it more naturally, people will stop wondering what you shouldn't have had for lunch.
4 Tips for Human Design Environment Caves People:
Human Design Environment Markets thrive in spaces that are comforting but also stimulating. Imagine traditional marketplaces filled with different spices, textiles, smells, sounds, and people. This human design environment is all about selecting the ones that feel best for you. Working in a boring cubicle or home will not work for you. Your environment is all about trying different elements that make you feel grounded and stimulated. Play around with textures and fabrics, invite friends over to cook new cuisines, enjoy music from around the world. Your environment is as unique as you. Find the colors, fabrics and items that make it feel alive. If bright colors are not your thing, then maybe think about music that might be stimulating. Experiment with how you can bring in the energy of a market whether it is co-working or colors.

Human Design Environment Kitchen thrive when they can play with different ideas, cultures, tastes, smells, and textures. Traditionally, a central gathering place where everyone comes together. Maybe this is a co-working space or just a creative expression of all the different components that make up who you are. Maybe you need the toys on yoru desk that make it more usable - think cool mouse pad or standing desk. It could also be a literal kitchen if that is what ignites your creativity - who doesn’t love a mid-work snack?
4 Tips for Human Design Environment Kitchen People:
Don’t worry; Human Design Environment Mountains types don’t have to live in the mountains (no shade to hermits though), but you like to have a view. Maybe that means sitting by a window or an attic with visibility of the space around. You thrive in open spaces and open floor plans. Experiment with heights and better views and see how your energy shifts. It could be as simple as a standing desk.
4 Tips for Human Design Environment Mountains People:
Human design environment valleys are all about a place of collaboration. You may like to hear the sound of other people talking but in a way that allows you to choose whether you want to engage or not. If being around people or listening in on them is not your thing then maybe try the collaboration of information using a corkboard. You love to hear and have access to information so while others hate thin walls…maybe you don’t mind some innocent eavesdropping here and there.
4 Tips for Human Design Environment Valleys People:
Human Design Environment Shorestypes thrive where two different landscapes or things come together – think of a shoreline where water meets land. It can be as simple as sitting by a window or maybe consider painting the walls of your home different colors. Express your creativity to see what works best to create this duality for you. Of course, if you can actually set up your workspace in a cabana by the sea, more power to you (and tell us your secrets).
4 Tips for Human Design Environment Shores People:
Hardscapes are 1-3 (caves, markets, or kitchens) which benefit from creating a space that mimics this archetype. Landscapes are 4-6 (mountains, valleys, and shores) which focus more on the feeling or the energy of the space. Hardscapes can be more practical whereas landscapes can be more poetic. That doesn’t mean you can’t dabble in and out of this binary, but rather this is an invitation to explore and discover what feels right to your soul. Basically, you do you!
Ever notice how some places make you feel comfortable and at ease, while others make you want to check your phone continuously? It's like that feeling when you step into a cozy café that instantly feels like home, versus being in a crowded, bustling market where every sight and sound demands your attention. These subtle nuances in our environment affect us differently because, well, we're all wired uniquely. If human beings didn’t have such distinct needs and tastes, we wouldn’t be waging a continuous war over whether pineapple is an acceptable pizza topping. The good news is, understanding your human design environment type gives you insight into how to set up your surroundings to set you up for success. The thought process is that the more comfortable you feel in your environment, the more you’ll be able to listen to your intuition, use your authority, and just feel overall amazing.
Finding your human design environment type is like discovering your own personal candy store – you know, the one where everything seems perfectly aligned with your taste buds. It’s about creating a space where your energy can flow freely, allowing you to uncover and serve your true purpose with joy and vitality. Whether you're a cave dweller who thrives in cozy nooks, a market enthusiast who seeks comfort amidst stimulation, or a kitchen connoisseur who finds inspiration in cultural diversity, there's a unique environment type tailored just for you. It's not about conforming to stereotypes but rather tuning into what truly resonates with your soul. So, if you find yourself lingering in the bathroom for a moment of respite, maybe it's time to curate a space that naturally provides the comfort and security you crave, minus the awkward glances from coworkers wondering if you had too much for lunch.

Human Design tells you what energy type you are: Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, and Reflector. We’ll give you the skinny on each type in a moment. The way you find your type is very similar to an Astrology chart. You input information regarding your birth and, voila! You are provided with a Bodygraph or Life Chart.
Okay, what are these types? Don’t worry, you don’t have to do any homework. We did it for you (we won’t tell the teacher) and we’ll keep it brief because you’ve got places to be and snacks to eat:
Generators: They like to get shit done, and they have plenty of sustainable, built in energy with which to do it. Need something taken care of? Find a Generator.
So, why is knowing your type so important? Aside from being a fun way to kill time while pretending to get work done on a Friday afternoon, learning your Type can open up a whole new world, a new fantastic point of view, if you will. Understanding how you function can help you confidently make choices on the day to day that will make things easier for you. It also helps us understand our interpersonal dynamics so we don’t fall prey to simple miscommunications so much. And most importantly, it helps you align with your true purpose and passion, which we all deserve!
These energy centers, which you cannot see with the naked eye, also correspond to the body's major organs. When you feel out of sorts in any of the seven main chakras areas, you will likely be able to correlate it back to an energy imbalance.
The third eye chakra, or Ajna (perceiving), is located on the forehead in between the eyebrows (find other chakra articles here: Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Throat Chakra). When the third eye chakra is in balance, intuition and expression are healthy and robust.
When your third eye chakra is open, your imagination is full, your dreams vivid, and you may even experience clairvoyance at one time or another.
When out of balance, however, concentration and focus become difficult, you might struggle with not being open to other opinions, nightmares become more frequent, and you may find yourself repeating the same patterns and mistakes.
The mantra for the third eye chakra is "I see" and is your connection to God, the Divine, or the Universe. Do you grapple with bad memories? Do you often struggle with goal setting or completion of the ones you set for yourself? Do you feel stuck in the day-to-day daily grind? If so, your third eye chakra may need your focus and attention. We all deserve having the abilities that the third chakra provides.
The physicality of your third eye chakra out of balance can manifest as headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, nightmares/night terrors, and hormonal imbalances. Your third eye chakra has an intrinsic connection to your vagus nerve and your nervous system. If your nervous system is overactive, give extra attention to supporting and opening your third eye chakra.
Crystals to Support the Third Eye Chakra
The color associated with the third eye chakra is indigo/violet. If you would like to utilize crystals to provide support, reach for sodalite, lapis lazuli, labradorite, fluorite, or azurite.
Affirmations of Support
Affirmations are positive statements that can be said quietly or out loud to challenge or work to overcome self-limiting beliefs or struggle. Here are a few examples of affirmations for the third eye chakra:
-I am connected to the wisdom of the Universe
-I see connections and the deeper truth.
-I am connected to my true path and purpose.
-I trust in the divine course of my life.
-My greatest joy and highest good is unfolding in divine timing.
Essential Oils for the Third Eye Chakra
Peppermint-The minty fresh aroma of Peppermint essential oil is a superior choice for opening the third eye chakra. It helps to combat headaches and keeps you alert when you are dealing with foggy thinking and need clarity of thought.
Lavender-The herbaceous and flowery scent of lavender is one of our favorite essential oils to foster a healthy and open intuition. Sit quietly and inhale the aroma to nurture your inner peace, and cultivate inspiration and creativity in your daily life.
Self-Care Tips
If you are dealing with a broken heart or suffer from a lack of trust and receiving love, try and incorporate a few of these practices into your life.
-Meditation and mindfulness practices are the single best thing for your mental and emotional health. We can retrain our brains to be peaceful and calm during times of chaos. We rarely take moments of silence and contemplation, which will activate and strengthen our third eye chakra.
-Outside stimuli such as social media and news outlets are incredibly detrimental to our creativity and our nervous system as a whole. Unplug during critical times such as upon awakening or before bed in the evening. I also recommend adding an unplugged day as often as you can manage to reconnect to you.
-The more out of balance we are, the less likely we are to notice our intuition when it is speaking to us. Take notice when you hear or feel it. Write down the details. Were you spot on? We often are but second guess those little nudges. The more you acknowledge and trust it, the more you cultivate it, the stronger and louder your intuition will be.
Our Headache Blend helps to balance your Third Eye chakra along with our Third Eye Chakra blend.
You can't stop now! The last chakra is the Crown Chakra.
